Inside the build

Built to do the work, not just look the part

A portable USB tool that checks a Windows machine without touching it, and hands back a plain-English verdict.

AppAudit is a portable diagnostic tool that audits the health and configuration of a Windows machine without altering anything on it. It runs from a USB drive with no installation on the target machine, works fully offline, and gathers information through fourteen collectors that are strictly read-only. The output is a plain-English verdict report, not a raw data dump you have to interpret yourself.

What it does not do

AppAudit inspects and reports. It does not fix, patch, or change anything on the machine it audits. Any remediation is a separate, deliberate step taken by a person, based on what the report tells them.

Common questions

Does this install anything on the computer being checked? No. It runs portably from USB with no installation step.

Does it need an internet connection? No. It works entirely offline and makes no network connection during the audit.

Will it fix the issues it finds? No. All fourteen collectors are read-only. It reports what it finds in plain English; any fix is a separate action taken afterward.
